To become eligible for Membership, individuals must successfully complete all three college diploma examinations, in: Musculoskeletal Medicine, Exercise Medicine, and Team Care.
Successfully passing CSEM’s three Examinations, in Musculoskeletal Medicine, Exercise Medicine and Team Care, is required to apply for Membership of CSEM. These examinations are designed to assess your knowledge, skills, competence and professional attitudes required of a doctor wishing to practise in SEM. Overseas membership is awarded to fully qualified Members who reside overseas.
Overseas members retain access to most of the benefits of a full Member, excluding voting rights or the print journals (available as an optional extra).
Cost: From £261 to £392 Annual Fee or From £21.75 to £32.63 Monthly Fee (dependant upon LMIC* status)
*LMIC discounts are reduced rates offered to individuals based in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (as classified by the World Bank). The discount will be determined by the country in which the member is residing
Retired Membership is available to fully qualified Members who are now retired.
As a CSEM Retired Member, you keep your membership status and post-nominals: MCSEM after retirement. Retaining professional recognition is important to CSEM as members continue to engage with the wider SEM community even after retirement. You do not receive voting rights or the print journals (available as an optional extra).
